Why do I have to have a free inspection of my home before I can get a price quote?
When a client inquires about a professional pest management service, many times the first question is how much the service will cost. However, no two homes or two pest problems are exactly alike nor are two pest control companies exactly the same.
At Global Rodent & Pest Services, we customize your treatment program based on the specific information found during the free inspection process. Our professional pest control technicians will conduct a thorough inspection of your home and property and provide you with a detailed report outlining recommendations for elimination of the initial pest problem and prevention of future infestations. They will also point out areas that require your attention. This inspection is free and helps us to provide you with an accurate price quote for the solution to your pest problem.
Can I spray and get rid of my pest problem?
Inexperienced applications of over-the-counter pest control products are usually ineffective and can also be unsafe for pets, children and adults if used improperly. Also, most pests return unless you take steps to prevent them. In as little as 60 days, new infestations can develop.
The only effective way to eliminate and prevent new infestations is to use a reputable pest prevention company with an ongoing service plan.

All Global Rodent & Pest Services job applicants are required to pass a series of interviews and background checks (which include criminal and drug tests) before they are even considered for employment.
All technicians go through on-the-job training with a highly experienced trainer for the first month. All of our employees are friendly, professional and know that our first priority is safety.
How soon can Global Rodent & Pest Services come to my home?
With a fleet of 42 vehicles, we are probably in your neighborhood or close by. This, plus the fact that all of our technicians have instant communication service, gives us the ability to respond quickly to your needs.

Do I have to leave my home when you provide service?
In most situations it will not be necessary to leave your home, but we will ask you to leave the immediate area where your pest technician is working. Utmost care is used in application and choice of pest control products. If it becomes necessary for you to be out of your home during a treatment, this will be arranged in advance for your convenience.
How soon before we can expect results?
You will see a noticeable reduction in pest activity within one to two days. Depending on the pest and the choice of materials necessary to give the best long term results, it is not unusual to notice a gradual reduction up to 14 days.
If you notice pest activity after 14 days, please call our office to set up a free follow-up service. On-going pest monitoring is part of our service and is the best way to detect new pest problems. Our goal is your total satisfaction!
Is a preventative plan necessary?
There is a big difference between pest control and pest prevention. A service plan like Global Rodent & Pest Services’ Total Pest Control program is the only truly effective way to eliminate pests and prevent them from coming back.
The Pest Elimination Plus program covers you against 44 pests that are common in Southern and Central California. This means that you won’t have a problem with any of the covered pests again — and if you do, Global Rodent & Pest Services’ unlimited extra service will correct the problem at no additional charge.

Why are these pests in my home?
Actually, you are living in 'their' neighborhood. They were there before your neighborhood existed, or they were transported and placed in your neighborhood by landscape plants (as with fire ants). They like your home because your house provides them with the same essentials that we need, such as food, water and a place to live.

Can I tell the difference between an ant and a termite?
Because ants and termites can look so alike, the best way to tell the difference is to have one of our trained pest control pros come to your home to identify the pest.
There are 4 telltale signs:
- Ants have elbowed antennas — termite antennas are straight
- Ants have a pinched waist — termites appear to have no waist
- Ants have 4 wings; the front 2 are longer than the rear 2 and appear to have veins.
- Termites’ 4 wings are all equal length and appear to be translucent
If I only see a few insects should I be concerned?
It depends on the specific pests. Fire ants, wasps, black widow spiders and even centipedes can sting and/or bite. For certain people, these bites and stings can be more than just uncomfortable — they can be life threatening.
Fleas, ticks, bedbugs and mice, just to name a few more, can also cause real health concerns. If you have seen any of these pests, call us for a free 37-point inspection.
House crickets, on the other hand, are classified as a nuisance pest. They can be overbearing at night, with chirping that may prevent you from sleeping. Since nuisance pests don’t pose any real danger, one or two is not a great cause for concern.
What are some signs that I have a pest infestation?
The obvious signs of an infestation would be the insects themselves, but sometimes their evidence is more subtle, like frass (insect waste) or damage to a cardboard box.
When the signs of infestation aren’t obvious, accurate inspection and identification requires an experienced pest management professional. Once the inspection is complete, pests have been identified and the infestation severity determined, our pest pros will design a customized pest control plan around your specific needs.
